Forgot to tell that i can rip the songs okay, but can not play them from the harddisk either, so i guess it could not be a dvd/cd problem, i got a dvd drive named MATSHITA UJDA740 DVD/CDRW.........

I'm i licensed user , and the program is great but i need it to work on my portable pc, because i play music to partyes and will now make karaoke a part of the party......

I am afraid that your drive does not read subchannel data. This is why after ripping you get no video either.

This is hardware limitation and we cannot do anything about it. I am sorry about this.

No, it is a your CD-ROM drive that does not read CD+G subcodes.

When you rip the song from CD+G disc to your computer your CD drive does not supply CD+G subcodes. You can see that CDG file contains nothing but zeros. So the file is there, but it does not contain any data.

One thing you may try is this:

1). Start > Settings > Control Panel > Sound and Devices
2). Select Hardware Tab
3). Under Devices, highlight your CD/DVD-ROM drive.
4). Select Properties
5). Select Properties again.
6). Under "Digital CD-Playback" and select (check) "Enable digital CD
audio for this CD-ROM device"

If this does not help then there is nothing that can be done apart from getting another CD-ROM drive.

Plextor are the best, but their are expencive. LiteOn and Pioneer also work fine. And I would suggest you to get external USB enclosure and get regular internal drive -- this will be way cheaper than getting USB drive.

"Expensive"

It's pretty much a myth these days that Plextor's are expensive. The 712 is $100 or less. Spend the money. Really.
