What computer programme plays cdg and vcd

I am trying to go onto computer with my karaoke gear but I am a novice when it comes to computer programmes for this. I have the power cdg burner but not all programmes play vcd's I am finding when I get on google. So can you help me Thanking you chuck

You may copy DAT files from VCD to the hard drive, and change the files extension to MPG. Then, you should be able to play back the file using any program that supports MPEG video files.
