I am in the process of setting up my new laptop to take over my karaoke stuff.
I have kept my file directory structures in intact, and maintained my back up database and all playlists and settings .cdp files. 90% of my stuff resides on external drives. Those drives DO have the same letter designations and the new machine.
Is there an easy way to populate the database without a mass re-import, and keep the property values intact on the new instance?
The reason I ask, is that I've spent an inordinate amount of time editing song properties in SKP due to formatting and tag errors, even with the parsing guide. I am not looking forward to repeating that process again. but if I have to...
If a location of the song files (folder path) remains intact, and you transfer your original siglos.db file from your old machine to the new one, you will not have to re-import songs on your new machine.

That's what I thought.
Gonna make sure and test...
