Can't get Singer Annoucement Screeen to Update

cant seem to figure this out...

I have tried to customize a screen for an upcoming gig, and I seem to be stuck in my previous/existing layout.
I must be missing or overlooking something, but this is the 1st time I've run into this issue. i made the changes on the Edit Singer Annoucement Screen, and clicked OK. I made sure the Image size matched the 680 x 480 pixel size set on the bottom of the window. Then Applied and OK'd on the subsequent Settings screen.

looking for a different perspective or advice. Thanks.

If I have a video or audio file in the Fill-In Playlist playing, that old design overlays the screen. Not good for lyric or band promo videos. I know this is a clue to what I'm doing wrong. It's almost as if some elements of my old image are somehow cached? i'm dumb.

EDIT: I did find that I had the Enable Custom Announcement Screen enable in the Singer Properties for myself. I unchecked the box there.

I think I have fixed my own "issue".
