song import problem

Post by gregneth »

bought a new drive loaded with 350k songs. files zipped with graphics and mp3s.
try to import songs and seems only unzipped files loaded and played
song database shows only about 1000 song however when i hit 'show all'
all 350k are visable. is it a parsing issue?
tried several times. last night i reset all settings and downloaded the newest
version of siglos.

1000 songs is loaded by default when Song Database window is opened with an empty filter as it may take a lot of time to load all the songs there are. If database fields are not filled in properly, please make sure to adjust "Name parsing rule" to a format of filenames you are importing. What information was displayed in "Import results" dialog box?

hi adam,
after parsing another way.
top window added 1600.
middle windows empty.
bottom window has the 35,000 songs.

running a different parse now. each time takes about 4 hours

It may be format of filenames differ between files. In such case you should import each pack of files using a different name parsing rule.

none of the parsing worked for me. however, when i drag and dropped the individual karaoke subfolders into import they seem to have loaded fine.
whatever works i guess.
