Sorting by Column in Collections screen (database)

when I have a Collections, Id like the ability to sort by column within that Collection. The window currently refreshes back to a null value in the search filter, requiring a user to choose the Collection from the drop down list again, at which point it will sort by your previous "request".
Not a big deal, but certainly an annoyance.
