forced 4:3 ration for lyrics

Post by Paradigm Karaoke »

windows 8.1, SKP 31, for some reason after a factory reset in windows the announcement screens and everything else will show just fine, but the lyrics are being forced to 4:3 ratio. i have checked and unchecked the "keep 4:3 aspect ratio" button with restarts in between, tried with stock windows codecs, Doblon codec pack and klite pack with the same results. i even ran the default script and the same results. ideas?

Please try to change a video renderer in File -> Settings -> Display.

Hornet: i reset because windows 10 had so many issues and Saturday it would not even boot.

Adam: did that and tried all renderers.

finally after uninstalling and reinstalling several versions it took and is working...but....

windows 8.1 still and if i don't open KP as admin, i can not delete or add songs to the database. i get the usual runtime error, and it runs slowly. if i open as admin through the right click option, it runs better and i can add and delete songs, but it is still noticibly slower than on 7. i am fully up to date on windows updates and all drivers have been doublechecked to be current via the individual hardware manu.

Is it the same for video and CD+G? Also have you tried changing the background mode to something else?

i tried all background modes, all and yes for cd+g as well.
i finally got it to go, it was something in the install. made a macro that did 30 installs and it finally gave me full screen again. bit of a sledgehammer approach, but get me through.
while you are here, any progress on the slow rotations?

Here it is:

http://www.powerkaraoke.com/download/20 ... -setup.exe

We did stress tests (30 singers, 200 songs) and hopefully this will work properly on your machine as well.

BTW, you may notice two new features (Quick Singers and Quick Songs), I am preparing a video showing how to use them.

almost no difference at all from the current build in downloads.
i added 25 singers, 2 songs each. i do not have problems with it crashing while doing this, it just gets so painfully slow. these videos will show what i am experiencing. lenovo b560, dual core 2.13 8GB ram windows 7 ult.

this is adding the first singer https://mega.nz/#!zVIWjSSJ

this is add a song to the 25th singer, 2 songs each https://mega.nz/#!vJoWTAiB

this is the .31 install from downloads, same 25 singers 2 songs https://mega.nz/#!XIghXSRD

the install of .31 from the download area takes 13 seconds to complete song 50.

the install you posted still takes 11 seconds to complete song 50.
any more information i can send to help figure this out?
