Maybe linux users can run power karaoke and power burner

Post by pcdoctor »

I recently installed linux on my laptop that used to have windows xp and power karaoke/burner on it. I removed xp and put linux on the entire hard drive. I'm going to see if I can get power karaoke and power burner to run using wine. I used to have this system running as a dual boot system with xp and linux. I'll let you guys know if I'm successful.

I was able to get the program to load using linux but when loading a cdg from hard drive, I don't see the text for the song. Oh well, I tried. I assume the same thing would happen using a disc. Basically, when I click play no text appear in the window where the karaoke text should be displayed.

Wine probably does not pass MMC messages from the drive, so no CD+G data are received by the program.
