Buzzing sound with AVI files only

Post by MrOctober »

I am using Siglos player / recorder 1,2,65 and ONLY when I play AVI files i get an intermittant static interference sound, it does not happen at the same time for any song just happens whenever it wants, I have an older version of player recorder on another laptop and it does not do it there version 1.2.7 however it does it on two laptops with the 1.2.65 version on them. any ideas? there is no problem when i play the files with windows media player and I have no problem playing BIN or zip files with player / recorder. just avi's on player recorder. any help welcome

You may try to install the K-Lite Basic codec pack:

Does it happen for any AVI file you try? Did you try to play the files in Windows Media Player?

Can you please:

1. Run the program
2. Click in the program main window
3. Press Ctrl+Shift+L
4. Message "Log enabled" should appear
5. Restart the program
6. Play AVI file
7. Exit the program
8. Go to My Documents (or Documents on Vista) -- you will find "sigloslog.txt" file there. Please email it to me.

I copied the Log here, I played the song three times and each time it happend at different times during the song, I ruled out any Interference from My Cell phone or any other electronic devices in the room and also played it with only battery power not a plugged in lap top. thanks for your time in looking into this I would love to have this problem figgered out :)
