Add Singer will only retain window size if [Lock rotation window when Add Singer is open] in settings is checked. Check it then resize then you can uncheck it will retain its size and position.

[disable/enable singers] will also make selected singer 'current singer' if all singers in rotation have 0 songs and [wait for songs is checked].
This will happen if singer is disabled and enabled again.

After creating a list you can then save it to a preset and should retain the key changes

Try this > Add Singer > song list (highlight song you want) > Key (above singer list) > Add and close
